Directed by piano pedagogue and RCM piano examiner Dr. Angela Chan, and internationally renowned Montreal-Korean concert pianist Dr. Wonny Song, Lambda offers a special intensive piano performance program for learners who aspire to pursue a concertizing career, and students who are dedicated in piano performance. We also offer masterclasses given regularly by our outstanding faculty.
Our piano pedagogy workshop and program help piano teachers recharge their musical batteries, and provide an exchange forum for musical ideas and inspiration to flourish. Our piano teacher accreditation program also provides networking opportunities for teachers to refine their teaching skills with like-minded musical professionals.
We also give regular free workshops and talks on piano performance, workshops on the development of human potential to students and parents who are interested in enhancing the artistic development of the young.
We offer private, semi-private and group music instruction for all ages and levels. Musical instruments taught include piano, violin, guitar, voice (singing), cello, clarinet, flute, saxophone. We also offer lessons and special courses in music theory and chamber ensemble. We cover a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical to jazz, improvisation, and pop music.
As a music and fine arts school, we also offer painting, musical theatre, dance (hip hop, ballet), digital photography classes, academic enrichment programs, Kids Saturday, Kids Sunday, special music initiation programs for young children, and special year round day camps ranging from music and fine arts camp, specialized music camps in a variety of musical instruments such as piano, violin, guitar, and also a one-of-a-kind girls' make over camp. Our camps cover multiple artistic disciplines including music, dance, musical theatre, painting, while offering unique subjects including digital photography, culinary arts, etiquette training, development of self confidence and presentation skills. Our programs have featured in key magazines and media including Global TV, Macleans magazine, CJAD, CJOH, CFRB, CJNT, FM102.3 and will soon appear on Marie Claire magazine and CBC radio.
Throughout the year, we offer special one day pedagogical day camps, spring break camps, and summer camps.
We are located in Pierrefonds in the West Island of Montreal. We serve the community of the West Island of Montreal covering areas of Kirkland, Beaconsfield, Pointe Claire, Baie d'Urfe, Ile Bizard, Pierrefonds, Dollard des Ormeaux, Dorval, Ste Dorothe, Hudson, Ile Perrot, St Lazare, Ville St Laurent, Boul St Charles. Our off-site remote teaching locations given by off-site teachers cover areas of downtown Montreal, Ville St Laurent, Verdun, Outremont, NDG, Lasalle, St Leonard, Jean Talon, Laval, Chomedy, and more.
Lambda offers music examinations and prepares students for concerts, audition preparations, university and CEGEP preparation, and competitions. We also help in coaching advanced students who wish to embark on a concert career.
We also offer special services including assisting students in the choice and purchase of a suitable instrument, birthday party hosting, concert hall rental, practice facility rental, and others.
